PRINCIPAL PROBED FOR FRAUD FORCED OUT

Source:iol.co.za

Parents of pupils at Fons Luminis Secondary school in Diepkloof took matters to their own hands so the parents were marching inside the school and demanding that the principal Lempe Motumi be physically removed from his office. The principal is facing charges of fraud and he is being investigated by the Gauteng department of education and by the police. One of the grade 8 student at school said, having Matumi while the school investigations were pending against him did not make sense. The principal confessed on spending R22 000 from the school account. He should be suspended while the investigation is pending. http://www.iol.co.za/news/south-africa/gauteng/principal-probed-for-fraud-forced-out-1.1247507
I honestly think that the principal did the wrong thing by using the school money and it brings bad publicity to the school. The department of education must come up with the strategy on how the school will use the money and putting people in charge on finances to all the government schools by so doing that it will reduce fraud within the schools. The department of education must also have the checking of flows of finances around the school.
IS THE GOVERNMENT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT THIS?

  9. Fraud is a serious crime; the parents did well by taking the matters to their own hands because clearly the police were doing nothing about the matter. He should pay the price. The educators are the ones that should protect the children not reap them off. He must go to jail.

  13. The only problem i see is that he got caught..
South Africa is changing and with things becoming more expensive one has to find the means to improve the lifestlye of himself and his family.
We're not aware of HIS story in this: He may have had mounting debt, or a sickly child. Anythinhg is possible.
But to see him negatively for doing what he has to do is to bad mouth the art of hustling.
